  • Explore the concept of wellness.
  • Explore the physiology of stress
  • Explore what wellness means to them in all areas of their lives.
  • Gain knowledge of the various stress types.
  • Explore the optimist and pessimist perspective.
  • Review Pillars of Wellness.
  • Have practiced relaxation, meditation, visualisation and affirmative self talk using personal self portrait as tool.

Classroom presentation on multimedia, supplemented by videos, and flip chart discussions throughout the course.  Course handouts, training records, evaluation forms are also provided and used.  A practical exercise and assessment also takes place. Throughout the course, there a number of exercises aimed at getting participants to recognise the causes of stress and also how to prevent future stressful situations.
